I started as a Saturday girl at the age of 15, in a small salon in Tunbridge Wells. I instantly loved the buzz and creativity of being in a salon.
I travelled up to London to do my training at Vidal Sassoon, Bayswater. Here I learnt basic colour skills, but my real passion was for cutting. I spent the next few years perfecting my skills in taking part in the yearly assistant show which the company arranged. I completed my NVQ level 3 and basic test in 2003.
I then went on to work at Bartlett and Bartlett in Tonbridge, here I went on several Goldwell colour courses and expanded my colour knowledge. It was here I discovered my interest for colouring as well as cutting.
During my time there I had an amazing opportunity to present on stage at salon International on the Goldwell stage. I also helped arrange and execute several salon photo shoots.
I love the daily challenge of giving my client the cut and colour they dream of, and the fact that there is always something new to learn and develop my skills, of which I now look forward to doing at Caisters Hair Lounge.
